The story behind this bag:
These shoes are in honor of Laika, a big name in the space race, much better known than many astronauts. She crewed the Sputnik 2 satellite and became the first creature from Earth to go into space. This trip demonstrated the possibility of surviving in space, even though it cost her her life. At Mumka, we wanted to honor the beautiful Laika (although she's not the same breed depicted on the shoe) because we believe that thanks to her, many advances have been possible, but at the same time, we believe that things could have been avoided. Here's to you, Laika!
